Wax Museum

Wax Museum

wax museum or waxworks commonly consists of a collection of wax sculptures of famous people from history and contemporary personalities exhibited in as lifelike lifelike poses as possible, wearing real clothes.

Some wax museums have a special section- the “Chamber of Horrors”, in which the more grisly sculptures and exibits are displayed. Some collections of these are more specialized, as, for

example, collections of medical models that has been once used for training medical professionals. Many museums or displays in historical houses too, that are not proper wax museums as such, sometimes use wax figures as a part of their displays.

A temperature of 21°C should be mentained in Wax museums so that the wax sculptures do not melt.
